The Responsible Government Act
Regarding Members of Parliament:
- A Member of Parliament (MP) is defined as a Citizen who has registered as a voter
- To register to vote, a Citizen must meet an activity requirement, as defined in the Member of Parliament Standards Act
- Tying current activity to political participation is important, in order to avoid becoming like the Federal Worker’s Cooperative of Carson
Regarding Political Parties:
- This Act is agnostic to the existence of political parties. This means that while political parties can exist, they are not required within the legislative process.
Regarding Powers of Parliament:
- Parliament will be limited by the constitution, in part to protect minority rights.
